The scope selector determines what files are displayed in the navigation pane and what files can be created. This is helpful when creating files because you can focus on the application you’re busy with and you can filter out the other unrelated files.
By default, Everything is displayed. The following scope options are available:

Everything - displays all the files regardless of their application, and allows you to create application specific (if the application’s folder exists) or shared files across all the scopes.

Application scopes - display the application’s files, and allow you to create files for the application.
