To make large adjustments to the functional location and operational area mapping:

Select Download on the SAP PM Console page. The current functional location and operational area mapping downloads in a XLS file.

Update the mapping in the file. The XLS file has the following sheets:
Functional Location Map

The first four columns (Level, Functional Location, Description, and Maintenance Plant) should not be edited. Editing these columns will result in errors when the file is uploaded.

The Operational Area columns contain the operational area to functional location mapping. Each cell contains the full path to one area node, with levels separated by a > (for example, Operations > Administration Building > Security).

If multiple operational areas are assigned to a single functional location, create a new Operational Area column for each area you want to assign to the location.

Delete the rows of the functional locations that aren't required. These functional locations will be disabled on the j5 system when this file is uploaded.
Operational Areas

This sheet displays a full list of all the operational areas on your j5 system in the required format for the Operational Area columns.

This can be used to copy and paste the correct operational areas into the Operational Area columns on the Functional Location Map sheet.

This sheet shouldn't be edited.
Disabled Functional Locations

This sheet displays the disabled functional locations. If functional locations are deleted from the current sheet, the disabled locations will appear on this sheet in future exports of the functional locations.

To re-enable a functional location, copy the disabled locations on this sheet and paste them on the Functional Location Map sheet.
