Hazards and Controls - j5 - 30 - Help - Hexagon

Individual hazard groups, hazards, and controls can be added and edited on Hazards and Controls configuration page.

To add or edit multiple hazards and controls, we recommend that you use the Risk assessment import configuration page.

To open this configuration page, select Configuration > Hazards and Controls.

Add a Hazard Group

1. Select Add

2. Enter a name for the Hazard Group.

3. Select Save

Add a hazard to a hazard group

1. Open the hazard group you want to add a hazard to.

2. Select Add

3. Enter a name for the Hazard.

4. Select a hazard icon to represent the hazard.

   To see what each icon represents, refer to Hazard Icons.

5. Select Save

Add a control to a hazard

1. Open the hazard you want to add a control to.

2. Select Add

3. Enter a description for the control.

4. If the control is mandatory, select Yes. Mandatory controls are selected automatically during risk assessment and cannot be cleared by users.

5. Select the PPE required for the control. For details refer to PPE register.

6. Select Save

Delete a hazard or control

Hazards and controls can be deleted using the risk assessment import spreadsheet only. Refer to Risk assessment import for more information.
