  1. Click Start > All Programs > Standard Database for Intergraph Smart Reference Data 2020 > SDB Setup Wizard and select Run as administrator.

  2. Select Create an empty Oracle instance of Smart Reference Data and import SDB 2020 dump file option from the Database Creation list if you want to create an entire new database for SDB 2020.

  3. Select Import SDB2020 dump file into an existing oracle instance of Smart Reference Data option from the Database Creation list if you want to import SDB 2020 dump file into existing empty Smart Reference Data database.

  4. Provide the Oracle SID with:

    • CHARACTER SET AL16UTF16

    • NATIONAL CHARACTER SET UTF8

      Oracle SID should not contain any special characters.

  5. Provide the password to be set for the database in the Oracle SYS Password and Confirm Oracle SYS Password boxes.

    The users SYS, SYSTEM, M_SYS, SDB_SYS will be created using this password. Once the database creation is completed, users may change their passwords as per their requirement.

  6. Select Oracle Home. The Oracle Home list box is auto populated with the applicable oracle homes for the setup version.

  7. Select Apex Installation Folder. This is mandatory for creating SRD 8.4 database.

  8. Specify Oracle Data Files Path under which the database is to be created. The default folder location for the database files is D:\oradata\.

  9. Specify Log Files Path under which the log files are created. The log files path must not contain any spaces in between.

  10. Click Finish to start database creation.
