Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and connect to your SQL Server instance.

Expand the Databases node in the Object Explorer.

Right-click the Isogen database to back up, and then click Tasks > Back Up to open the Back Up Database dialog.

In the Destination section, click Add to open the Select Backup Destination dialog.

Click the Browse beside the File Name box to open the Locate Database Files dialog.

Type a name for the backup in the File name box, such as Isogen_Backup.bak.

Click OK to return to the Back Up Database, and then click OK to begin the backup.

When the backup is complete, expand the Databases node in the Object Explorer.

Right-click the Isogen database to restore, and then click Tasks > Restore > Database to open the Restore Database dialog.

Select Device under Source section, and then click Browse to open the Select backup devices dialog.

Click Add to open the Locate Backup File dialog.

Navigate to and select the backup file (.bak), and then click OK.

Click OK to close the Select backup devices dialog.

Under Destination, select Spoolgen in the Database list.

Click OK to restore the database.

After the database is restored, open the Spoolgen Web API Configuration Tool. Browse to the [Spoolgen Web API Install Folder]\Configuration folder, and double-click the Intergraph.Spoolgen.WebApi.ConfigurationTool.exe file.

Click Next on the Welcome page.

On the Service Database Configuration page, use SQL Server Name to specify the SQL Server URL.

Set Database Name to the name of the Isogen Web API database to upgrade. The default name is Isogen.

Click Next to go to the API Registration page.

Type the URL for the Smart API Manager server to use for authentication.

Type the User Name and Password that you specified when setting up the Smart API Manager administrator account.

Click Test to verify that the login credentials are valid.

Click Generate to generate a service secret and display the string in the Service Secret box.

Click Next to go to the IIS Configuration page, and then click Next again.

Click Finish to apply all settings and begin the configuration. A page displays showing the status or each activity and an overall progress bar.

After applying the configuration and running the health diagnostics, click Finish to exit the configuration utility.

Copy the C:\Program Files\Intergraph\Isogen Web API\App_Data\Pipelines folder to C:\Program Files\Intergraph\Spoolgen Web API\App_Data\Pipelines folder.
Make sure that the Windows identity that the web service is running under has access to the files.

Open I-Configure.
-
Select a project in the Project View panel.

Click Project Defaults to open the Project Defaults dialog.

On the Project Defaults tab, set API URL to the new Spoolgen Web API URL.

Click OK, and then exit I-Configure.
-
Open the required version of Intergraph Spoolgen and test.
