The Spoolgen Web API replaces Isogen Web API configurations. When you configure the Spoolgen Web API, you have three choices for upgrading your Isogen Web API database so it can be used with the Spoolgen Web API.

Upgrade Option 1: Create a separate Spoolgen Web API database
This option enables you to create a separate Spoolgen Web API database while keeping your existing Isogen Web API database.

Upgrade Option 2: Upgrade to a Spoolgen Web API database
This option enables you to upgrade your existing Isogen Web API database to a Spoolgen Web API database.

Upgrade Option 3: Restore your Isogen Web API database as a Spoolgen Web API database
This option enables you to back up your existing Isogen Web API database, and restore it as a separate Spoolgen Web API database. Using this option results in two separate, unlinked databases. Initially, the databases share the existing data that is stored in the Isogen Web API database.
