  1. Open the AutoCAD reference file.

    Any file that is not native to Catalog Manager and that is linked or embedded and used for reference information is termed a reference file.

  2. Adjust the file in the active view by clicking Fit .

  3. On the Tools menu, click Display Manager.

  4. If the document contains multiple drawing sheets, select the sheet which contains the reference file on the Sheets tab.

  5. Click the Layers tab.

Turn On/Off Layer Display

  1. On the Layers tab, select a layer or layer group from the list.

  2. In the Display column, turn on/off a layer by selecting or deselecting the check box.

  3. To save your changes and return to the drawing document, click OK.

Override the Color of a Layer or Layer Group

  1. On the Layers tab, select a layer or layer group from the list.

  2. Click in the Colors column of the selected layer/layer group to display the Colors dialog box.

  3. Select a color from the list.

  4. To save your changes and return to the drawing document, click OK.

  • The Layers column displays an alphabetical list of layers and layer groups for the active drawing sheet. Layer groups appear first in the list, followed by individual layers.

  • If you wish to preview your changes without closing the dialog box, click Apply.

To use this functionality, you must install the Translators option.
