Turn Interactive Services Detection off (retired) - Intergraph FreeView - Hexagon

This troubleshooting topic only applies to those installing retired SmartPlant Markup Plus versions 2019 SP 1 or prior.

Interactive Services Detection is recommended to be turned off to eliminate the communication window that is initiated when the Job Processor is executing. This, in turn, will eliminate the flashing notification icon in the task bar.

Disabling this service will prevent notifications from appearing in the task bar of the server machine. Although not required to be disabled, some users find this flashing notification to be disturbing.

1. Click Start > Administrative Tools > Services.

2. Right-click Interactive Services Detection, and select Stop.

3. Right-click Interactive Services Detection, and select Properties.

4. On the Interactive Services Detection Properties (Local Computer) dialog box, click the Startup type drop-down list and select Disabled.

   

5. Click Apply.

6. Click OK.
