Allows you to publish a list of documents to a file. The Publish tab displays properties of the selected document or documents. If only one document is selected in the tree view, the properties displayed on this tab are the properties of that one document. If multiple documents are selected, only the properties with the same value for all documents appears. Any properties with varying values across the documents appear as blank values in these fields.
You can change some of the values assigned to one or more documents by changing the values displayed in the table. The values you enter here will override any existing values for all selected documents.
Selected documents
Displays a list of the documents selected for publishing. You must populate this list by selecting documents before you use the Publish command or by using the buttons in the Add section of this dialog.
Folder to save XML files - Specify the location of the folder in which you want to save the .xml files that the Publish to File command creates.
Engineering Tool - Allows you to add documents from authoring tools, such as P&IDs or PFDs, to the Selected documents list.
Name - Displays the name of the document.
Source - Indicates the authoring tool in which the document was created.
Type - Displays the type of document or documents selected.
Data File - Provide the name of the file to which the document will be written.
Metadata File - Provide the name of the file to which the metadata will be written.
Custom - Not available for the Publish to File functionality.
