SmartPlant integration allows a design tool to take in and display custom publishing data through a custom publishing DLL. The SmartPlant Test Tool is installed with its own custom publishing DLL. To use the SmartPlant Test Tool’s custom publishing DLL, do the following:

In the Microsoft Registry Editor, create a string value named CustDLLProgID under the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intergraph\SPF Framework Client\Current Version.

Set the data in CustDLLProgID to the following: EFTestToolPubCust.EFTTPubCust.

Either stop and restart your computer’s IIS Admin Service or reboot.

In the SmartPlant Test Tool, click SmartPlant > Publish.

Select one or more items in the Select Documents dialog box and click OK. Alternatively, you can click Cancel.

A dialog box will ask you whether you want to require completion of custom publishing before a document can be published.

Two new rows should appear on the grid of the Common UI’s publish dialog box.

Under Add, the Custom button should be available and its caption should be changed to Test Custom.

Click the Test Custom button to see message boxes that are SmartPlant Test Tool’s stand-ins for a custom publish dialog box.
