Files exported from in .ipd format can contain process data from more than one line or instrument.

  1. Click File > Open.

  2. Navigate to the process data (.ipd) file that you want to edit, and click Open.

    SHARED Tip The tab labels that appear depend on whether you open a process data file for a line or for an instrument.

  3. On the Lines or Instruments tab, do one of the following:

    • View or edit the available fields for the required items.

    • Click to the left of the item that you want to edit, and then click the Details tab to view the data for the item that you selected.

  4. Click in each available field that you want to edit and do one of the following, as available:

    • Type a new entry, or edit the existing data.

    • Select a value from a list.

    SHARED Tip You cannot edit data for fields with a gray background.

  5. On the File menu, do one of the following:

    • Click Save.

    • Click Save As, and in the dialog box that opens type a new name, and then click Save.
