Upgrade existing template documents - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 47 - Installation & Upgrade

When you upgrade the SmartPlant Master Tag Registry schema, the existing template documents delivered with the software are not upgraded automatically. You must manually upgrade them.

1. In the Desktop Client, click Find > Template Documents.

2. Type *MTR* in the search box, and click OK.

3. On the search results page, check out the following template documents:

   • MTRAuthoredCableTemplateDoc

   • MTRAuthoredElectricalEquipmentTemplateDoc

   • MTRAuthoredEquipmentTemplateDoc

   • MTRAuthoredInstrumentTemplateDoc

   • MTRAuthoredPipingSpecialtyTemplateDoc

   • MTRAuthoredValveTemplateDoc

4. Navigate to Smart Community. Copy the following template documents:

   • SPMTRAuthoredCableTemplate

   • SPMTRAuthoredElectricalEquipmentTemplate

   • SPMTRAuthoredEquipmentTemplate

   • SPMTRAuthoredInstrumentTemplate

   • SPMTRAuthoredPipingSpecialtyTemplate

   • SPMTRAuthoredValveTemplate

5. Replace the checked out documents with the above copied template documents.

6. Check in the new template documents. To check in:

   1. Repeat steps 1-2.

   2. Right-click the new template documents and click Edit > Check In.
