The Engineering Numbering System (ENS) provides an automated object identification, which allows specific identification formats to be configured as templates. These templates offer a consistent and yet configurable method for creating new objects.

The ENS provides capabilities for creating multiple objects as well as adding a start sequence number.

The names of the objects to be created can be previewed even before the objects are created. The name section in the create wizard indicates how the name is going to be formed using ENS.

The administrator can mark the display items related to the ENS items as mandatory or optional.
