If your workstation requires SmartPlant integration software, you should install it in the following order:

  1. SmartPlant software (Schema Component and SmartPlant Client, if needed)

  2. SmartPlant.NET software (Schema Component.NET and SmartPlant Client.NET, if needed)

  3. SmartPlant Foundation

  • The SmartPlant software is not for use with HxGN SDx.

  • Before you install SmartPlant Foundation, you should decide on which drive you plan to install the software. By default, the software is installed in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartPlant\Foundation.

    Check with your IT department for specific guidelines about where to install the software.

  • If you are installing the Desktop Client component on the application server, be sure to see SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client platform recommendations for detailed information about additional prerequisite software.

SHARED Tip You can install the software in silent mode, which requires no user interaction as the software installs. For more information, see Installing the SmartPlant Foundation Software in Silent Mode.
