  1. Select Administration > Update Users in SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client to access the Update Users menu item.

    The Update users settings and preferences form displays with all settings disabled.

  2. Select the settings you want to edit. The default values in each field are determined by what the current logged in user has setup as their preferences.

  3. Click Users to display the for Users query form. Enter search criteria with the option of using wildcards.

  4. Click Finish to load the users into the tree view in the Update users settings and preferences form.

  5. Click >> to add selected users or full queries from the Queried Users pane to the Users to update pane.

    • The << button deletes selected users from the Users to update pane.

    • The Add All button adds every unique user in the Queried Users pane to the Users to update pane for multiple queries.

    • The Clear button will remove all users from the Users to update pane.

  6. Enter values for any of the enabled settings.

  7. Click Update users to start the update process.

    The Update users button is only enabled when at least one user is in the Users to update pane.

  8. The process starts and an Authorize new settings for all users form displays. Click Yes to run the update. Click No to return to the Update users settings and preferences form.

  9. A status bar displays the progress of the update process. When the process is complete, a successful update message displays. Click OK to return to the Update users settings and preferences form.

  10. Press Esc to exit the Update users settings and preferences form.
