Database

Lists the databases that are currently open. There is a Database list on the left- and right-sides of the dialog box. You must select a database from each of the two Database lists. One database serves as the source (the database you copy data from), and the other database serves as the destination (the database you paste the data to).

Reference tables

Displays the tables that exist in each of the selected databases. Tables are organized by type in a tree view format: Reference, Lists, and System. The Reference node contains standard reference tables, the Lists node contains list tables, and the System node contains build rules.

  • If no tables of a specific type exist in the selected database, the software does not display the node in the tree view. For example, if no list tables exist in the selected database, the Lists node does not display in the tree view.

  • As in Windows Explorer, you click and to navigate through the tree view, expanding and closing nodes to select the reference table data to copy.

Add to copy

Adds the reference table to the copy/paste function.

Remove from copy

Removes the reference table from the copy/paste function.

Paste data to

Performs the copy/paste function between the selected databases using the database selected in the left-hand Database list as the source database and the database selected in the right-hand Database list as the destination database. Reference table data is copied from the source database and pasted to the destination database.
