You can add multiple files simultaneously to the fileset definition using the Add Folder dialog box to specify a folder and set of file extensions or by selecting each file individually.

Add groups of file simultaneously

  1. Select a fileset in the tree view, and click Change Files and Groupings . Alternatively, select a fileset and then click Edit > Change Files and Groupings.

    The Edit dialog box displays.

  2. Click Add Folder.

    The Add Folder dialog box displays.

  3. Modify the options as needed, and click OK.

    The OK button is available only if you have selected a valid folder and at least one file type.

  4. In the Edit dialog box, click OK.

Add files individually

  1. Select a fileset in the tree view, and click Change Files and Groupings . Alternatively, select a fileset, and then click Edit > Change Files and Groupings.

    The Edit dialog box displays.

  2. Click Add.

    The Select Piping Files dialog box displays.

  3. Navigate to the appropriate location, and select the data files to add.

  4. Click OK.

  • The Select Piping Files dialog box is a standard multi-select dialog box, allowing you to select one or more files. For consecutive files, select the first file, press and hold down SHIFT, and then select the last file. For nonconsecutive files, press and hold down CTRL, and then select each file.

  • The software updates the Files list to display the changes. For files, the list displays the file name and its full path location. For folders, the Files list displays the file type, full path location of the folder, and whether sub-folders are included. If so, a Y displays under Recursive.

  • When adding data files, you can use a combination of individual files and folders.

  • To remove a file or a folder from the fileset definition, select it in the Files list, and then click Delete.
