You must uninstall any previous versions of PSI and perform a new install for PSI 10 due to significant infrastructure changes in this version, including changes to interprocess
communication methods and the new setup utility. This applies to all PSI components deployed at a site, such as PSI Server, redirector, and data collector components. For more information, see Upgrading PSI.
You also must upgrade any remote data collectors at the remote computer. Data collector upgrades cannot be performed remotely when upgrading from versions of PSI before 10.
If you are upgrading an existing database, it will automatically be updated the next
time the PSI services (pasExecutive) start. You do not need to manually upgrade if the PAS service
manager is connected to an existing database.
