Before you install the PAS Dashboard, make sure your systems are equipped with the hardware and software required for running the PAS Dashboard. You should also understand how you will deploy the PAS Dashboard in your environment. For more information, see System Requirements.

The following list provides the steps to plan for, install, and configure the PAS Dashboard for the first time. This list guides you through the remaining sections of this document.

  1. Verify all machines meet (or exceed) the product requirements. For more information, see System Requirements.

  2. Disable clr strict security in SQL Server. For more information, see Updating SQL Server CLR Strict Security.

  3. Install the PAS products you will use with the PAS Dashboard. For more information, see the Installation Guide for each of the PAS products.

  4. Enable FILESTREAM (requires SQL 2008 or later). For more information, see FILESTREAM Configuration Recommendations and Enabling FILESTREAM.

  5. Install the PAS Dashboard by running the installation program. For more information, see Using the PAS Dashboard Installation Program.

  6. Use the PAS Dashboard configuration program to define the required configuration settings. For more information, see Configure the Required PAS Dashboard Settings.

  7. Make sure .NET 4.8 is installed and active in IIS where the PAS Dashboard is installed. For more information, see Verify .NET 4.8 or Later Is Installed and Active.

  8. Make sure the service uses a domain account with the proper permissions. For more information, see Ensure the Service Account Is Set to a Domain Account.

  9. Make sure Windows Authentication is enabled on the PAS Dashboard website.

  10. Make sure Anonymous Authentication and ASP.NET Impersonation are disabled on the PAS Dashboard website.

  11. If you will use Integrity data in your PAS Dashboard, configure Integrity to provide data for the PAS Dashboard. For more information, see Setting Up Integrity for the PAS Dashboard.

  12. If you want your PAS Dashboard to be the Dashboard page in Cyber Integrity, set up Cyber Integrity to open the PAS Dashboard as the Dashboard page. For more information, see Configuring Integrity to Open the PAS Dashboard.

  13. If you will use PSI data in your PAS Dashboard, configure PSI to provide data for the PAS Dashboard. For more information, see Setting Up PSI for the PAS DashboardPAS DashboardSetting Up PSI for the PAS Dashboard. You may also want to use a custom hierarchy. For more information, see Understanding the Location Hierarchy and Creating a Custom Hierarchy for PSI Data.

  14. If you want your PAS Dashboard to open from PSI, set up PSI to open the PAS Dashboard. For more information, see Configuring PSI to Open the PAS Dashboard

  15. Configure the individual widgets and views for your PAS Dashboard to deliver the information you need. For more information, see Configuring the PAS Dashboard.
