  1. On the application server, create a new user account to be identified with an application pool that will run your site (for example, SPFServer).

    To enable Windows Authentication, your SmartPlant Foundation application pool identity must be set to a domain user or a local user account that is a member of the SPFUsers group on that server..

  2. Add the new account to the IIS_IUSRS and Users group.

  3. Create a new group account (for example, SPFUsers).

  4. Ensure the group has Read and Execute, List Folder Contents, and Read permissions on every directory of the web site that the application pool will run.

  5. Repeat this procedure for each new application pool and user account you must create.
