Sets properties that control the display and format of dimension and coordinate data on the isometric drawing.

If you are using ISOGEN Configuration with the current version of Smart 3D, cable tray and HVAC isometric drawing options are limited to beta access. As such, drawing options specific to cable tray and HVAC isometrics are not visible in ISOGEN Configuration by default. To turn on cable tray and HVAC options so that you have access to the full array of drawing settings when configuring Smart 3D isometric drawings, please contact PPM Smart Community.

The Dimensions category includes the style groups listed below.

  • Dimension Style specifies the dimension styles that Isogen outputs on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Dimension Style.

  • Cable Tray / Duct / Piping Components and Features controls the representation of cable tray, HVAC, and piping component dimensions on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Cable Tray / Duct / Piping Components and Features.

When working with Smart 3D models, the style group that displays in the Options panel depends on the current isometric drawing style. For example, Piping Components and Features displays only for piping isometric drawing styles. Likewise, the cable tray and HVAC style groups (Cable Tray Components and Features and Duct Components and Features) display only when a Smart 3D cable tray or HVAC isometric drawing style is active (for example, Iso_CableTray or Iso_HVAC).

  • Coordinates controls the representation of coordinate data on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Coordinates.

  • Display Format controls the display of metric and imperial dimensions and angle data on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Display Format.

  • Skews and Falls controls the representation of such things as skews, falls, slopes, callouts, and tolerances on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Skews and Falls.

  • Reference Dimensions controls the display of reference dimensions on the isometric drawing. For more information, see Reference Dimensions.

  • Reference Planes defines reference planes for the Reference Plane Definition file (RPDF). These properties provide the ability to reference grids for coordinate callouts on isometric drawings. For more information, see Reference Planes.
