You usually use the Re-Import File command when one of the following situations exists:
-
There is an import failure because of the sheet splitting strategy in the import drawing style. For example, a very large piping data input file (IDF/PCF) cannot be sensibly fitted onto one drawing sheet. In this case, the original Isogen file is extracted from the project database and re-imported using settings that temporarily override the current SGImport style setting (for a Spoolgen project) or Import style setting (for an IsogenDB project) as defined in I-Configure.
-
You need to view the current state of the POD reflected on screen, such as after the insertion of a drawing split point. In this case, the current open POD is exported to a PCF and then re-imported. Using the Re-Import File dialog box, you can override the SGImport or Import style settings as defined in I-Configure.
-
Click Project > Re-Import File.
The Re-Import File command is available only when a file is open in the software.
The Re-Import File dialog box displays.
-
Specify the required action, and define the required settings.
-
Click OK.
During the re-import process, the software saves the SGReImport.log file in the %TEMP% folder.
