In this module, you can specify the details of the joint type (for example, socket weld, branch weld, butt joint, and so forth) for a weld.

Click Joint Types.

Click Add Item .

Enter the following details:

Joint Type - Specify the type of Joint for the weld.

Joint Type Code - Specify a code for the Joint Type (for example, PPT, FW ,BW and so forth).

Description - Specify the description of the joint type.

Discipline - Specify the discipline of the join (PIP, EL, M and so forth). Select a discipline from the menu list.

Comments - Enter any comments.

Field Factor and Shop Factor - Numerical value, which represents a percentage, expressed as the ratio of the strength of a riveted, welded, or brazed joint to the strength of the base material.

Click Save.
