In this module, you can view the list of spool numbers for the selected drawings and the number of welds in a spool for which Fit-Up Verification, Visual Inspection, and NDT inspection stages are completed.

You can release the spool, only when the following two conditions are satisfied:

  • Fit-Up Verification and Visual Inspection are completed for all the welds (Total Welds) in a spool.

  • All the welds for which the NDTs are selected for the spool must be completed.

For example, as shown in the figure below, the total number of welds for a spool must match with the total number of welds that have completed Fit-Up Verification and Visual Inspection. Also, the total number of welds selected for NDTs in a spool must be completed.

  • To view the spools data in this module, you must load the data for piping welds in Welds module.

  • The welds for which the property Is NDT Required is set to Y (Yes) and are accepted in Visual Inspection are displayed in the NDT Selected field.

To view the spools data for the drawing:

  1. Click Spool Status module.

  2. From the list, select any filter criteria. For example, select Spool Number.

  3. Enter * and click Refresh .

    The software displays the ISO/Drawing numbers that satisfy the filter criteria.

  4. Select a drawing number from ISO/Drawing No: list.

    The software displays the list of spool numbers for the selected drawing.

  5. Select the spool number and click Release Spool .

    The Release Spool button is enabled only if the total number of welds for the selected spool match with the total number of welds that have completed Fit-Up Verification and Visual Inspection.
