After you setup the server for mobile application, you must configure the required WQMS project, user roles, and user access in WQMS desktop application. For more information, see Access Creation.

The WQMSsuperuser and WQMSQCuser are the default users who can access the mobile application. These users have default access groups such as WQMSSuperUserAccessGroup, WQMSQCCreateAccessGroup, and WQMSQCViewAccessGroup.

If you want to access a new project in the application, you must first create a new project and a user in WQMS and then assign a role in Access Configuration module. Once you assign a role, you must set the user roles for that project as Default roles in SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.

Once the access configuration in WQMS is completed for the new projects, follow the steps below:

  1. On your desktop, open SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.

  2. Login with the username created in WQMS desktop client for the project.

  3. In the Set Active Scope dialog box, select a project listed under the Query Scope.

    The roles for the selected project are displayed in the Selected roles list.

  4. Select the default role for the project from the Selected roles list.

    By default, WQMSOrganisationWideDefault role is checked in the selected roles list.

  5. In Create Scope section, select the project.

  6. Click OK. This selected project with the selected default access role can be accessed in the mobile application.
