Smart Review Version
2020 (15.0)

When you are connected to a specified Smart 3D, SDx Operations, or SmartPlant Foundation server, you can see 2D drawings associated to the open 3D model file. If the associated drawing file is a .sha file format, you can see 2D/3D correlation.

  1. (Optional) To check your connection, select File > Settings or Expand > Settings (Tablet Mode). Contact your system administrator or, for information on connection, see Connect to a Smart 3D Server.

  2. Select an object that contains associated 2D drawings. The associated drawing files display under Documents in Properties.

  3. Click the drawing file in Properties to display it in the Document view.

By default, when you open a 2D drawing, the software tiles the Document and Main view display so that you can see the model and the associated 2D drawing file. If the 2D drawing is a .sha file, when you select an object in the document view, the software also selects the object in the Main view, and vice versa.

You can stay connected and see the drawings, or use the Copy Documents Locally command to load selected drawing files to a folder on your local or a shared system. This allows you to see drawings without being connected to the server. For more information, see:

A shared folder for the drawing files allows all Smart Review users to see attached drawings.

Updates

If the source drawings files are updated and published, you must connect to the SmartPlant Foundation server to see the changes. If you copied drawings locally, replace the local drawings with the new or updated drawings, and then re-open Smart Review.
