Tablet Mode > Expand > Properties

Provides information and shows attachments associated to an object. When you select an object in the model, Smart Review displays a property card that can be expanded to show a list of all related properties, attachments, and system data.

Show me

  1. Tap on an object in the model to open the property card.
    OR-
Press and hold to open a shortcut menu and select Properties. You can then tap an object to populate the property card.

  2. Expand the property card to see all related object information. You can move the property card around on your screen.

Although you can use CTRL+ to select multiple objects, the property card displays properties for the last-selected object.

  3. Vertical swipe to quickly scroll up and down the object properties.

  4. To see associated documents, graphics, and drawings:

    1. Tap the Documents icon in the right corner of the property card to expand Attachments. This icon shows the number of documents and attachments associated to the selected object. You can tap the Documents icon to expand the property card.

You must use the Get External Data commands to link or attach documents and 2D drawings to the database (.mdb) file that is associated to the current 3D model. For more information, see Attaching External Data.

    2. Tap the file to open under Attachments. The Attachments category only displays when the object has associated external data files.

    3. When a .sha, .igr, .pid, or .spe 2D drawing attachment is selected, the software opens the Document view to display the drawing and resizes the 3D model Main view.

    4. When you select a Smart 3D graphical object in the Main view, Smart Review automatically selects that graphical object if it is in the displayed 2D drawing in the Document view, and vice versa.

    5. Use touch controls or your mouse to move the drawing; touch or single-finger mouse drag to move the drawing; mouse wheel or pinch in and out to zoom in or out. In the Document view, you can open a shortcut menu for options to change the background and reset the view to its original Home position.

    6. You can perform Search, Home, and Fit operations in the 2D Document view while in Tablet mode.

  5. For a closer look at the selected objects and to hide the rest of the model, tap Isolate on the property card.

    1. Drag to select and rotate the isolated objects.

    2. Tap Isolate again to turn isolation off. Isolate affects only model graphics; non-model graphics such as comments, data annotations, text annotations, measurements, and point clouds are not affected.

  6. You can perform Search, Home, and Fit operations from the navigation pane for the 2D Document view.

  7. To close the property card, tap X on the card.
    -OR-
    Tap Properties again.
