  1. Create your animations.

  2. Click Animation > Playback/Capture Settings if you need to configure the playback before you record.

    Click Animation > Playback/Capture Settings > Common if you want to configure the playback before you record as well as change any settings such as the video output length in the Record page of the Animation Playback/Capture Settings dialog box. For more information, see Common Playback/Capture Settings and Record Settings.

  3. Click Animation > Record.

    You can access the Record command from the following locations:

    • Use the shortcut key combination CTRL + SHIFT + R.

    • Click Record on the Animation Player.

    • Click Animation > Record command.

      Smart Review displays the Save output file as dialog box. You can enter a new file name, or click OK to use the file name set in the Record page of the Playback/Capture Settings dialog box.

  4. Click Save to close the dialog box, and then click Animation > Play.

    If you have the Animation Player open, click Play , or you can press R.

    Smart Review records an image at each animation point. Each image is saved as:

    [filename][suffix number].[file type extension]

  • If you have Loop or Pong controls enabled, the recording does not stop until you click Stop.

  • Any motion or modifications made in the Main view as you are recording are also recorded. To make sure you capture only the animation as it plays, do not make changes or move during the recording.
