Stereo viewing is available only with the Photo-Realism module.

  1. Click View > Settings > Advanced, and then click Stereo Activate.

If the Activate option is not enabled, your graphics card may not support stereo or your stereo settings may not be turned on for the card. Check the 3D settings for your graphics card and your monitor to make sure they both support stereo and that stereo settings are enabled.

  2. Create your animations.

Click Animation > Playback/Capture Settings > Common if you want to configure the playback before you record as well as change any settings such as the video output length in the Record page of the Animation Playback/Capture Settings dialog box. For more information, see Common Playback/Capture Settings and Record Settings.

  3. Click Animation > Record.

You can access the Record command from the following locations:

    • Use the shortcut key combination CTRL + SHIFT + R.

    • Click Record on the Animation Player.

    • Click Animation > Record command.

Smart Review displays the Save output file as dialog box. You can enter a new file name, or click OK to use the file name set in the Record page of the Playback/Capture Settings dialog box.

  4. Click Save to close the Save output file as dialog box, and then click Play .

Smart Review records the images to create a stereo AVI file compressed using the Microsoft Video 1 codec at 30 frames per second.

  • If you have Loop or Pong controls enabled, the recording does not stop until you click Stop.

  • Any motion or modifications made in the Main view as you are recording are also recorded. To make sure you capture only the animation as it plays, do not make changes or move during the recording.

  • If your monitor and graphics card do not support stereo, then the animation playback and/or the AVI may produce unexpected results.
