The object data is organized under nodes Label Data, Relational or Parent Data, Attachments, and Graphic Data. The graphic data is always displayed for every object, even if the object does not have any associated label or relational data. For animation points, line segments, or the entire path of a Display Set animation, information such as the associated display set, X/Y/Z location, and time is listed.

For models created using Smart 3D, the SmartPlant 3D Label Select Utility can filter the data to display. For more information, see Use the SmartPlant 3D Label Selector Utility.

The property values can be copied and pasted into other applications. When a text annotation is selected that contains multiple lines, the Properties dialog box displays the annotation as a single value. You can hover the cursor over the value field to see all the lines in a tool tip, which can be copied into another application. The Attachments node lists all files attached to objects using Tools > External Data commands. Click on each file to open it. Any 2D drawing files open in the Documents view.

There is an optional Hidden node that displays whenever you hide one or more properties. By default, the Hidden node is collapsed. You cannot show or hide graphic data. Also, the Show, Hide, and Sort operations cannot be applied to properties listed in the Unparsed Data node.

Expand/Collapse

Expand or collapse nodes. The expand and collapse states of the Graphic Data and Label Data nodes are saved between sessions. The System node expand/collapse state is only saved at the parent node.

Sort

Sorts information alphabetically.

Show/Hide All

Toggles to show or hide label properties in the text view window. When you hide all properties, a Hidden node is created to show the hidden properties. When you select Show Property Differences, use this command to either show all properties or show only properties having differences (as shown in the following example).

Show Property Differences

Toggles to turn on and off the Compare Properties grid that allows you to see any changes that have been made on a selected object.

Description Area

Shows the name of any object selected in the tree view, as well as a location breadcrumb or marker that shows where the object is located in the tree view hierarchy. An example marker in the status bar is shown below.
