Use the Select Settings command to change the default highlight and color options during selection. For example, you can set selected objects to glow in a specific color.
Select Settings Dialog Box Options
Render list
Contains all the types of render lists that you can change such as the Highlight render list and the Select render list. The Highlight render list is a list of objects currently highlighted. The Select render list is a list of all objects currently selected.
Render as
Wireframe
Causes selected or highlighted objects to display in wireframe mode.
Glow
Causes selected or highlighted objects to render brighter.
Both
Sets object selection to both wireframe and glow effects.
Wireframe options
These options are not enabled if Glow is set as the render type.
Use the colors of the objects
Outlines each object using its own colors. This option enhances the edges of objects.
Use a single specified outline color
Displays outlines in the color you select.
Edit
Displays the standard Colors dialog box, allowing you to select or create a color. This option is not enabled if the Use the colors of the objects option is selected.
Width
Specifies the line width of the wireframe lines for selected objects.
Pattern
Sets the line style for wireframe objects that are selected or highlighted. Use the pulldown menu to select from a variety of patterns.
Glow color options
These options are not enabled if Wireframe is set as the render type.
Use the colors of the objects
Brightens each object using its own colors. This option does not enhance the edges of objects.
Use a single specified outline color
Brightens each object in the color you select.
Edit
Displays the standard Colors dialog box, allowing you to select or create a color. This option is not enabled if the Use the colors of the objects option is selected.
