To use this functionality, you must install the Construction module.
Creates or selects a collision set name. After you select a name, choose for collision detection to return all types of collisions or only certain types of collisions. For example, if you select the Between component elements filter, the collision detection process looks for collisions between elements that are part of a larger component.
Collision set name
Specifies the name of a collision set. Single tick marks ( ' ) are not allowed in the name. Click Apply after you type in a new name.
Delete
Removes the selected collision set from memory and the database.
All types
Searches for all types of collisions.
Selected types
Enables you to choose one or more of the following filters for the collision detection process.
-
Intersecting - Searches for intersecting collisions.
-
Tangent - Searches for tangent collisions.
-
Contains another - Searches for collisions with closed graphic elements that contain other graphic elements.
-
Embedded within - Searches for collisions with graphic elements that are contained within other closed graphic elements.
-
Between component elements - Returns collisions between graphic elements with the same DMRS linkage, or label key. Elements with the same DMRS linkage are all part of a larger component.
Point cloud intersections (external data)
Tracks collisions between the specified part of the model and the point cloud data. You must have the Point Cloud Integrator module and a point cloud software package loaded before you can use this option.
Use Hidden elements
Honors hidden levels and display sets that you have turned off during collision detection.
Use collision limit
Works in conjunction with the Collision Limit setting and stops the collision detection run after the specified number of collisions.
Collision limit
Halts the collision detection after the specified number of collisions occurs. Collision limit is turned off by default with 1 as the default collision number limit.
