Searches for objects according to a defined search criteria. The figure below shows the Find Object dialog box using a display set query.
Name
Selects a display set containing the defined search object(s), or select <Custom> to create your own search.
Total
Displays the number of objects located in the search.
Current
Lists the object number. Each object located in the search is automatically assigned a number that can be used as a reference when reviewing the object and its attributes.
Hide/Show Details
Expands or collapses the Find Object dialog box. Advanced search options display when the dialog box is expanded.
Previous
Becomes enabled after the search has been executed. Click Previous to return to the previous object in the query results list.
Next
Becomes enabled after the search has been executed. Click Next to go on to the next object in the query results list.
Fit
None
Omits the fit operation when you start the selected query.
All
Fits all objects into the Main view when you start the selected query, or when selected from another Fit option after you have started your query, or when selected from another Fit option after you have started your query.
Query
Fits all objects that match the currently selected query into the Main view when you start the query or when selected from another Fit option after you have started your query.
Objects
Fits to the object that matches the currently-selected query or when selected from another Fit option after you have started your query. This option is automatically saved when you exit or close the Find Object dialog box and applies to the Edit > Previous Object and Edit > Next Object command behavior.
Show
All
Displays both matching and non-matching elements when you start the currently selected query.
Query
Displays only matching elements when you start the currently selected query or when selected from another Show option after you have started a query .
All but query
Displays only non-matching elements when you start the currently-selected query or when selected from another Show option after you have started a query.
Style
Defines the style for highlighting objects that your query finds. You can select Wireframe, Transparent (90% - 10%), Shaded, or Normal. You can also change this after the query results are returned.
Color
Displays the Color dialog box, allowing you to change the highlight color for the query objects. You can also change this after the query results are returned. If the Normal style is in effect, then no change is visible until you switch styles.

The Transparent option specifies how much you can see through an object. You can vary the percentage of transparency from 10% (least transparent) to 90%.

Use the Normal style if you want to prevent the symbology from changing from its current state.
