In this section, we will learn how to create the branch insertion rule for the specification.

  1. Go to SRD > Spec > Spec Editor.

  2. Double-click CC150-1 spec from the tree view.

  3. Go to Components tab and expand Branch Matrix in the bottom.

  4. Click New button.

  5. Enter the branch name BRCC150-1.

  6. Set Short Code as “90%” and Used pref as “1”.

  7. Add the NPD in the NPD combo and click Add Add button button.

  8. Similarly add all the NPDs listed in the paper spec one after another.

  9. Add records from the paper spec to create the Branch Insertion rule.

  10. Right-click and select Group/Part.

  11. Click Save and collapse the Branch Matrix.

    Some of the branch fittings specified by the branch table are undefined in the piping commodity filter. Now, add the missing components in SRD.

Branch Insertion Rule 8

  1. Go to Components in Spec Editor and add new piping components as shown below:

  2. Save the record and lock the grid.

  3. Go to Integration > Smart3D> Smart3D Transfer Jobs. Create a New Run of the export job CC150-1 and click Start Job.

  4. When the job processing is done, open the bulkload feedback log file from the Log Files tab and review the log file for any errors or warnings.
