  1. Click SRD > Component Manager > Commodity/Ident Management.

  2. In the Data: Explorer drop-down list, select All Commodity Groups/ Commodity Group/ Part/ Commodity Code.

  3. Double-click the commodity code for which you want to add the tag number.

  4. In the grid, click the Additional Tag Information tab at the bottom of the screen.

    These are “Bulk Tags” or “Generic Tags” associated with the commodity code, which is different from Tagged Items (specialty items, engineered items, spools etc.). Tagged items are created during the loading of Bill of Materials in Smart Materials.

  5. Add a new row, and type in the Tag Number and select appropriate document from LOV.

    • You can add Project specific tag by logging into the project.

    • You can add new documents in the Documents grid.

  6. Save the changes and set the grid to Read-only.
