Smart Materials/Smart Reference Data Version
2020 (10.0)

The Smart 3D interface must be defined on either Classic or Smart Materials Web. For more information, see Interface Settings.

The following prerequisites must be met to run a job in Smart Reference Data Plus:

  • All the configurations such as general configuration, sheet configuration, export job creation must be done in Smart Reference Data Plus. However, the project defaults configuration must be done in Smart Reference Data Classic.

  • The BULKLOAD API must be available on the application server of Smart Reference Data Plus.

If the application servers of Smart Materials and Smart Reference Data Plus are different, these two config items must be set with valid paths for the Bulkload API on the Smart Reference Data Plus application server. If the application servers are the same, these two config items are optional.

  • The project default ZI_SP3D_DI must be set with a valid path on the application server for Smart Reference Data Plus, so that the transfer files get generated in the specified location. For example, if the value of ZI_SP3D_DI is set to C:\SRD\SP3D\Files, this folder structure must be available on both application servers (Smart Materials as well as Smart Reference Data Plus).

You must add the login user details set for the SP3D LOGIN USER general configuration, to the system (Windows 10 client workstation or Windows 2016 application server operating system) where the path for project default ZI_SP3D_DI is set.

  • Set ZI_SP3D_DI in Project Defaults screen and LOG_FILE_DEST in Classic DBA Settings screen or Smart Materials Web application before export.

  • For export to take place, it is mandatory to set up the download folder in the application server and grant permission. Whatever you want to export will be downloaded in this download folder. Under LOG_FILE_DEST, log files will be generated. The services are hosted in the service URL.

  • Create a username with any name such as SPRDINT and set an appropriate password for it. The password length must be 15 characters with one capital, one numeric and special character. Using this, you can connect to Smart 3D machine and load the data. This user should be defined in the Smart 3D > General Configuration screen. Then go to Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Transfer Jobs > Transfer Jobs screen and associate the different data tables, specification items, idents, log files, etc and move them to Smart 3D.

  • SP3DSPRDClient needs to be installed on the application server, where all the services are hosted.

  • BULKLOAD SP3D should be set to ‘Automatic_Direct’ in the General Configuration screen.

  • Sprdint user needs to be present on application server, Smart 3D machine as well as under Administrator group.

  • Sprdint needs to be given permission on Smart 3D database using SQL Server Management Studio.

  • SPRDListener should be started on machine where Smart 3D is installed.
