With a general configuration, you define a set of parameters used to control the settings and behavior of Smart 3D transfer jobs. The general configurations are project dependent.

The general configs consist of a set of parameters that must be set to control the behavior of the reference data transfer to Smart 3D, launched from Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Transfer Jobs > Transfer Jobs.

The general configs are maintained on the General Configuration screen. The standard config 1ST is delivered with the software. The general configs are project dependent. Copying a configuration copies the set including all config items with their values. To set a value, select the value from LOV. It’s recommended to create one general configuration as a company standard.

With the general configuration, you control general settings for Smart 3D export jobs, for example:

AUTO_SELECT_SHTS_FOR_PARTS

Fill the assigned part class sheets into the job sheet selection, if the related commodity codes were selected?

If set to Y, the assigned part class sheets as defined on Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Configurations > Data Tables screen. Sheets are filled automatically with the commodity codes from the selected specification(s) during the export job.

If set to N, you must select the commodity group, part, and/or codes manually when defining an export job on Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Transfer Jobs > Transfer Jobs, Selected Idents tab.

The purpose of all configuration items is described in the Comment field next to the item name.
