It is up to you to decide whether you want your changes to be committed to the database immediately or at a later point in time.

For this reason, the p_commit_ind parameter has been provided. You do not have to pass this parameter to the procedures. The default setting is Y, which means data is committed immediately by the API procedures.

If you pass the value N instead, the API procedures will not commit the data.
