Smart Materials/Smart Reference Data Version
10.1

Setting the import parameters consists of defining the import destination. You can import the complete Smart Materials hierarchy. For example, you can import table details, like those shown in the preceding figure, and table groups, tables, and table types.

During an import, you can also:

  • Specify the table type, table name, and table group in the import parameters.

  • Include a row for the table type, the table name, and the table group in your import table.

You must specify the table type, table name, and table group either in the parameters or in the file. In the example in the previous figure, all import rows are of the DETAIL level and no table group is specified in the parameter. Therefore, in this example, no rows are imported because Smart Materials does not know where to place the data. Although zero rows are imported, no error displays.
