You can create a specification with a template while entering information into a minimum set of fields on the Cover Page.
A specification with a template has a filter line and results lines on the Components page.
Easiest Method
The easiest method to create a specification with a template is to only enter the Diameter Series and Pipe Material grid values, and leave the Preferred Thicknesses box blank.
For this method, all NPD values from the Diameter Series are displayed in the Thickness grid.
Medium Method
If you specify the Preferred Thicknesses in addition to the other minimum required fields, the NPD values in the Thickness grid are restricted to the preferred thicknesses entry.
In this method, the Thickness column is copied to the Schedule column.
Full Input Method
In this method, the schedules displayed in the Thickness grid are based on the material schedule dependency.
You can also assign schedules to the material by using the Selection list in the Thickness grid.
All Methods
In all three methods, you can manually change the thickness and schedule in the Thickness grid.
