The main parts of the Component Manager are:

Data Explorer - This panel is on the left side. It provides a hierarchical tree view of the data. You can click the plus and minus signs to expand or collapse the data.

Grid - This panel is on the right side. It provides a tabular view of the data, much like Microsoft® Excel®. You can add, modify, and delete data in the grid.
To quickly view the grid for a node, double-click the node in the Data Explorer.
The following picture shows the user interface for the Component Manager. You can see the Data view on the left and the Grid view on the right. Both the Data and Grid views are resizeable and have toolbars at the top.
You can view different types of data in the Component Manager. For example, you can view commodities, idents, geometrics, geometric rules, tables, or assemblies.
In addition, in the Data view (left panel), a drop-down list allows you to choose the hierarchy for the data. For example, for Commodity/Ident Management, the drop-down displays the following.
