An example of the Visual Planner main screen is shown below. On the left side of the screen, each panel displays with information related to the panel (project number, planned start date, and so on). The panel flow with different work places is visualized as a Gantt-chart on the right side of the screen.

The left side of the chart contains fields that display panel information:

Project

Displays the project to which the panel belongs.

Panel Name

Displays the name of the panel.

Planned Start

Indicates the start time of the panel. The field can also display in different colors.

White

Indicates that the panel is on time.

Red

Indicates that the panel is late.

Blue

Indicates that the panel is frozen.

Purple

Indicates that the panel is too early.

Start Date

Specifies the start date of the panel.

Due Date

Specifies the latest end date of the panel.

Flow Time

Specifies the time from the start date of the first panel line work phase to the end date of the last panel line work phase.

Scattering

Indicates how much earlier or later the panel part’s completion dates are compared to the panel work phase start dates.

When you hover the mouse cursor over the bars on the Gantt-chart, tooltips display:

The bar on top of the Gantt-chart displays the time scale of the chart. You can edit the time scale and other chart options. Right-click the top of the time scale, and then click Edit time scale to open the Edit time scale dialog.

In the Edit time scale dialog, you can change the chart start and end dates and the scale of the chart.

  • By default, there is a red vertical line that represents the current time. You can turn this line on and off using the Time-now line option. By default, there are also light gray vertical lines on the chart. You can turn these lines on and off using the Grid option.

  • You can scroll the chart horizontally and vertically using the horizontal and vertical scroll bars on the sides of the chart.

  • Each work place is shown as a box with different colors on the chart. Tooltips are shown for each workplace if the mouse cursor is hovered over the box.

  • There can be two horizontal black lines connecting two boxes that have the same color. This means that the work phase cannot be finished in one shift and work continues in the next shift according to the capacity calendar. In the following example, the work is stopped for the night as the evening shift ends and work continues in the morning when the morning shift starts working.
