To define the working phases the tasks must first be defined on Tasks tab by system provider. The work phases can be collected from the tasks on the tab Phases.
-
On upper part of the dialog the specified work phase information is given.
-
On lower part of the dialog the work phase collection is defined.
-
On the Available Tasks list is seen all defined tasks, which are not included to the work phase.
-
On the Selected Tasks list is seen the selected tasks to that phase.
The order of work phase can be changed by up and down arrows.
-
Select Phase
The Phase can be selected from drop down list Select Phase.
Type
The Type can be selected from the Type drop down list. The selected values can be Work Phase, Material Sale, Material Return, Material Scrap, Cutting Length, Work Pre or Count/Other.
Work Phase - The normal work phase calculates time as minutes.
Material Sale - Sales of material includes the selling price of the material of the order line. Unit is kg and calculated value is material gross usage.
Material Return - Return of material includes the price of the material that is returned to the storage from the order line. Unit is kg and amount is material return value, normally negative.
Material Scrap - Scrapping of material includes the price of material that is scrapped from the order line. Unit is kg and amount is material return value, normally negative.
Cutting Length - When cutting work is sold as meter based, work phase calculates cutting meters.
Work Pre - Work Preparation, like geometry drawing and part nesting. Unit value is minutes.
Count/Other - This allows define specific calculation rules to count sold. The calculated value can be anything that is possible to calculate from order item, material, customer, and so on. This requires customer specific calculation rules.
Pricing Type
This uses same types as above. Purpose is that pricing can have different cost- and sales amount calculation than work time. For example, charge number transfer from plate to part can be Count/Other based, so that there is fixed price for one transfer. However, loading effect is calculated as work phase.
Work Instruction
There can be some work instruction based on the work phase. If the work phase has the standard work instructions these are always followed.
The instructions can be shown in the WORKSHOP, for example.
Flow Time
The flow time is given for the phase. There are different ways to calculate the flow time for the phase: Constant value or SQL.
-
The flow time can be constant value in Days, Hours, or Shifts..
-
The flow time can be calculated from specific SQL or Function.
Job Flow Time (minimum)
The minimum time in days, hours, or shift that it takes for the next workplace.
Job Flow Time Flex Prior. (in SSC ONLY)
If the certain work phase lead time is normally 2 days, you can, for example, set the Job Flow Time (minimum) to 1 shift, which means that the work phase can be done in a shorter time if the order cannot be done within the standard lead time. With Job Flow Time Flex Priority 1, the scheduler first tries to shorten this work phase lead time according to the Job Flow Time (minimum) configuration. If the work phase lead time by setting Flow Time Flex Priority 1 is not possible to deliver before the due date, then the next work phase with the Flow Time Flex Priority 2 of the job flow will be searched. Attempts to use the second work phase Flow Time (minimum) time to shorten the lead time and so on.
Job Wait Time
The Job Wait Time can be given for the phase. There are different ways to define the Job Wait Time for the phase: Constant or SQL.
-
The Job Wait Time can be constant which can be entered in the text field.
-
The Job Wait Time can be calculated from specific SQL.

Completion
Selection can be chosen between Manually or Automatically.
-
Manually means that the work phase is accepted complete with some of the Nestix programs.
-
Automatically means that the phase will be accepted complete when the phase that is preceding it or follows it is accepted completed. If an order line has several successive phases to be accepted complete automatically, they will be accepted complete as soon as the preceding phase to be accepted complete manually is completed.
Part Stamp
Coded information for part stamping.
Calculate Work Load - The Calculation mode can be selected from drop down list Calculate Work Load. If the value is one (1) the work load will be calculated in own workshop. If the work is made on the subcontractor, it does not load the production.
If Needed - When this is checked, work phase is added from work chain only when amount calculation gives other value than zero.
Automatic Update - When this is checked, work time is always calculated when quotation/order item is saved in NESTIX Order Input and NESTIX Sales -application.
Purchase Phase - Tells that work phase is for purchasing.
Activity code - Work phase is active and it is possible to use in new quotation/orders.
