The quotation workload can be calculated by the Workload Calculation form in the Smart Production Sales application. To activate the form, select any quotation from Sales Quotations, and then select Quotation Timing... from the Actions menu bar.
In this window you can set the Due Date and Trade estimated % for quotation. Trade estimated % is the estimated probability of a quotation to be accepted by a customer. The calculated quotation workload value is multiplied by Trade estimated % so that the most likely accepted quotations are showing bigger workload values than unlikely ones. When there are several estimated quotations in the system, this gives more accurate estimate of the required capacity need for non-accepted quotations.
Clicking Make timing calculates the quotation workload that can be seen in the Smart Production Work Load application. The Make timing functionality is a separate process and must always be made after the quotation is changed. The Due Date value must be in the future. If the value is in the past, the application will move the focus and select the Due Date field, indicating that value is incorrect.
The workload calculation cannot be set to the locked quotation.
Compared to typical loading method quotations use the more granular loading method "Fill Flow Time". In this method quotation workload is divided evenly to work phase flow time per work place and multiplied by estimated trade percent.
The quotation workload can be seen in the Smart Production Work Load application as a grey color bar on the chart area.
When the flow time is two days and the total workload is 100 hours multiplied by 100 percent, the estimated trade percent is shown as in the chart above.
If the previous quotation workload trade estimation is changed from 100 to 50 percent, the workload graph is changed to half of the original.
When the quotation is saved as an order, or the quotation due date is in the past, the quotation workload is removed automatically and replaced by the sales order work load.
