The Profile application main window is shown below.
Order Items
Displays a list of order lines you select for nesting. Double-click an order line to select it, or use one of the following methods:
Select
Selects the highlighted order lines. Click multiple order lines to activate them,
and then click Select .
Select All
Selects all of the order lines. You can limit the available order lines or control the search order using the Search Tool.
Return
Removes order lines from the select list. Click a line in the select list and then
double-click Return to remove that line from the select list. Click multiple order lines in the select
list and then click Return to remove multiple lines from the select list.
This button affects the count of parts selected for nesting. You can add three values to an order line.
Articles
Displays whole profiles you select for nesting. Selected articles display in the middle
of the main Profile window on the Order Items tab. Use the Select , Select All , and Return buttons on the Order Items tab to select and restore profiles.
Stock Items
Displays a list of suitable remnants. Selected stock items display at the bottom of
the main Profile window on the Order Items tab. Use the Select , Select All , and Return buttons on the Order Items tab to select and restore remnants.
Search
Filters the order items list based on criteria you provide. For more information, see Search Tool.
Reset
Clears the search boxes.
Prints the list of data lines the Search tool finds.
Save
Saves changes you make to the part count of an order line. You make changes to an order line by typing new values in the text boxes above the Articles list in the middle of the window and above the Stock Items list at the bottom of the window.
Cut Method
Specifies the machine that cuts parts from profiles and remnants.
Settings
Displays the Settings window, where you define properties for optimizing cut parts, such as the shortest length for remnants.
Close
Exits the Profile application.
Optimize…
Starts the nesting process. The software displays the nesting results in the Results tab in the Solutions window. For more information, see Creating nestings.
Results…
Opens the NC progress tab in the Solutions window, which displays results of previous optimizations.
