Manipulation of profile order items and materials in manual nesting is done by double-clicking, selecting items at the work area by clicking and moving items by dragging.

On the Edit Tab work area, selection is generally done:

  • by clicking a single item

  • by clicking multiple items with Ctrl-button down

  • by drawing a box from left to right selects order items inside of the box

  • by drawing a box from right to left selects order items inside or crossing the box

  • by drawing a box from left to right around items with Shift-button down, selects also material

  • by drawing a box from right to left around or crossing items with Shift-button down, selects also material

Selected items are displayed in blue.

To add material to the nesting work area, select the suitable material from the Visuals Materials lists. It can be either article, stock profile or remnant, or reservation. The easiest way to add material is by double-clicking the line on the list. Each double-click adds a new material item to the work area.

To delete material from the nesting work area, select one material from the Edit work area by clicking it and pressing DELETE on the keyboard. If deleted material contains profile order items, these items are also deleted.

To add profile order items to the nesting work area, double-click the selected item on the Profile Order Items list. This order item is positioned directly to the first available free place.

To delete profile order item from the nesting work area, select one order item from the Edit work area by clicking it and pressing DELETE.

To move profile order item in the nesting work area, select one order item from the Edit work area by clicking and dragging it to the gap between two order items or next to the wanted location. There will be a yellow vertical line next to the location where item can be dropped.

If the Technology Group and the data behind profile order items allow rotating or mirroring order items, there will be small function buttons over the item. By clicking the button item is manipulated accordingly. The rotation 180° button is on the left and mirroring button on the right.
