In situations when the maintenance of the parameters settings of a material group is desired to minimize, the material group can be inserted based on some base material group.
The new material group is inserted from the same Insert Material Group dialog like the base material group is inserted. The difference of inserting copied material group is only that the Base Material Selection checkbox is set on in the Insert Material Group dialog. The copied Material Group is separated from the base Material Group in Machine technology XML file on parameter UseMaterialGroupAsBase, which is the name of base Material Group.
