This option helps the user to identify which parts or assemblies are not needed due to design changes where items were deleted from the design system.

Usage for Parts

This status is set automatically for nested parts that are deleted from the design system. The nestings having parts in the status Delete cannot be started in Smart Production Workshop. The nesting is set to On Hold status Halted. The picking list can be created in Smart Production Work Queue, but the user is warned that there is On Hold status set to nesting.

You must decide how to proceed:

  • You can remove the status Halted from the nesting and change the part’s On Hold status to Reject and allow manufacturing of the nesting and the parts. The parts in status Reject can be scrapped in WsWeb during cutting completion.

  • You can delete the nesting. This will trigger order items with On Hold status Delete to be deleted automatically from the system.

  • You can change the nesting and remove parts from the nesting that are deleted from the design system. The On Hold status Halted is removed from the nesting automatically when you save the nesting. Order items with On Hold status Delete are deleted automatically from the system.

Usage for Assemblies

This status is set automatically for assemblies that are deleted from the design but contain nested parts in Smart Production.

You must decide how to proceed:

  • You can remove the On Hold status Delete from the assembly (and possible Delete and Reject from the parts), allowing manufacturing to continue. The user must understand that the un-nested parts were deleted.

  • You can remove the nested parts from the nestings and delete them; scrap the cut parts in Smart Production Workshop and then manually delete the assembly that had status Delete.
