On the Maintain BOM page, select the specific node you want to view or edit the properties of and click View More.

Select the Node Name from the list.

Add the descriptions in the Short Description and Description boxes.

The BOM Path shows the entire path of the selected node,

The Node Type field shows the type of the selected node.

The Generated Name field shows the name of the selected node, generated by the user defined description rule assigned to the node type.

The path, node type, and the generated name cannot be changed.

The Site Status, Highest Issue Status and On Req? are autopopulated.

Select the Preassigned Status from the list to assign the issue status at the node level to ensure that all sub-nodes and positions get the same issue status.

Once an issue status is assigned at node level, the following happens:

All the sub-nodes of the selected node gets the same issue status assigned.

The existing manual positions for the node and its sub-nodes gets copied with the assigned issue status at the node level.

It is not possible to assign the issue status at the node level if:

The existing manual positions of the node and its sub-nodes have a higher issue status than the one assigned to the node.

One or more of the existing manual positions of the node and its sub-nodes have a reserved quantity or issued quantity greater than 0 (zero) or are assigned to un-posted MIRs.

Select the Release check box to release the node.
If a specific node is locked (in the List Status page), the Released check box is checked and the Unrelease button enabled. You can use this button to remove the lock.

If you want to cancel the release of a node, click Unrelease.

In the Properties section, you can do the following:

To edit values for the properties, select the specific value from the select list and click Save.

To add comments, click and then click Add Row in the Attached Comments window. Enter a unique number in the Seq cell and a comment in Comment cell.
