You should define glossary-language mappings if you want to use glossaries in multiple languages. For each language you would define a mapping for a glossary.

Furthermore, the glossary-language mappings can be used to restrict the available glossaries. If at least one mapping is defined, only the glossaries having a glossary-language mapping are available for selection on the Login page.

The glossary-language mapping names will be available for selection in the Language box on the Login page. With the selection of the mapping you specify the glossary and the language that is used in the Smart Materials Web session.

If you have not defined any glossary-language mapping, all glossaries are available for selection in the Language box. The glossary assigned to DBA setting BI_REPORT_GLOSSARY is displayed and selected by default. The selected glossary is applied in the language that is defined with DBA setting BI_REPORT_LANGUAGE.

To create glossary-language mappings proceed as following:

  1. Click Add Row.

  2. Type a mapping name in the Name box.

The mapping names are displayed in the Language list on the Login page.

  3. Select a glossary from the list.

This glossary is used when the mapping is selected when logging in to Smart Materials Web.

  4. Select a language from the list.

The glossary is applied with this language.

  5. Select the Default check box if this mapping should be displayed on the Login page by default.

  6. Click Save.
